Peel and core apples, then cut apples into quarters. Place in the Instant Pot.
Add water, cinnamon and salt.
Close lid of the Instant Pot and set to manual for 5 minutes. Place valve to "Sealing".
When the timer goes off, hit "Cancel". You can manually release the pressure or let the pressure release on its own. The steam will be HOT when release the pressure manually. Be sure to protect yourself.
Use a large spoon to stir the apples with the seasoning. This will break up the apples into a chunky consistency.
If you like a smoother texture, you can use an immersion blender and place the applesauce in a blender. I recommend letting the applesauce cool down before doing either of these.
