Do you wake up in the morning feeling sluggish? You’ve just slept all night and still, you wake up feeling tired. What gives?

It may not actually be that you didn’t get enough sleep! You might be dehydrated.

Water is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies. Not only are we consuming far too many diuretics during the day, like coffee, some teas, soda, juices and energy drinks, but we then go several hours during the night without any water. Morning Lemon Elixir

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz filtered water, heated
  • 1 wedge of lemon (1/4 of the lemon), or more if desired
  • 1-2 pinches of unrefined sea salt

Instruction:

  1. Squeeze lemon wedge into a mug and drop the wedge in.
  2. Add salt, then pour in hot water.
  3. Drink first thing in the morning before breakfast and any other beverage.

What makes this better than plain water? The unrefined sea salt will help replenish electrolytes in your body; a vital part of hydration! It ain’t just about the water, folks. You also need to have those minerals! This is definitely not the place for white table salt. In fact, I don’t recommend that ever. Always opt for unrefined sea salt like Pink Himalayan Salt, Celtic Sea Salt or Real Salt.

The lemon will not only give you a boost of Vitamin C, but it’s also fantastic for naturally supporting the liver’s ability to detox, and priming your digestive tract.
